Guest Speaker: Brain Caldwell

Brian Caldwell, THE Guide

Having been a resident of the Del Dios area on the banks of Lake Hodges for over 30 years, and having run the Lake Hodges Aquatic Center and Concession for 12 of those years, Brian Caldwell is the ultimate Lake Hodges local. As a NANPA, , award winning photographer, Grebe consultant for the recent PBS Nature Documentary ‘San Diego, America’s Wildest City’, an avid outdoorsman and nature enthusiast he is aware of the local climate, seasons, weather, water management, Lake Level and how these affect the flora and fauna in the area. Coupled with his understanding of photography, light, and Grebe behavior,  he is THE guide when in pursuit of the shot at Lake Hodges and the surrounding area.

Guest Speaker - Bruce Herwig

Bruce's presentation will be on Milky Way Magic: Photographing the Night Sky

 

Photo Enthusiast and amateur astrophotographer Bruce Herwig will share his best tips and tricks for photographing the stars. You’ll leave knowing what equipment you’ll need, what camera settings to use, and a list of helpful apps to help you take your nighttime photography to the next level!

Bruce Herwig, President of the Redlands Camera Club and an active member of the Redlands Art Association, serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Redlands Bowl photographers and was the Grand Prize winner of the 2020 National Park Photo Contest landscape category. Bruce has shot the Perseids and Geminids meteor showers and the Super Blue Blood Moon and enjoys heading out to Joshua Tree and other dark sky locations whenever his active schedule allows.
